Smart Energy Infrastructure for Menzel Elektromotoren GmbH

To ensure maximum cost efficiency and security of supply, Greentech Energy Solution GmbH implemented a state-of-the-art energy infrastructure for Menzel Elektromotoren GmbH at its Berlin-Hennigsdorf site.

The project comprises the installation of 1,420 photovoltaic modules with a total capacity of 642 kWp. At its core is an intelligent battery storage system with a capacity of 645 kWh and an output of 324 kW, controlled by a central energy management system. Greentech Energy Solution was responsible for the project’s complete implementation—from the foundations and control cabinet construction to the complex electrical infrastructure.

Sustainability Through Optimised On-Site Consumption

The intelligent integration of energy generation and storage substantially increases on-site consumption, while targeted load management optimises grid utilisation. As a result, annual electricity purchased from external suppliers is reduced significantly—from 650,000 kWh to just 110,000 kWh. This enables a sustainable reduction in energy costs of up to €121,000 per year while also considerably reducing CO_2 emissions.

With a total investment of €780,000—effectively halved to €390,000 through a 50% grant from the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB)—Menzel Elektromotoren is making a strong commitment to energy independence and future-proof, climate-friendly industrial production.
